At the Babraham Institute, I am studying the sub-cortical maternal complex on epigenetic programming of oocytes, investigating whether defects in this complex cause failures in methylation establishment in oocytes, what genomic features are most susceptible, and the mechanisms responsible. I am funded by the EUROVA Marie Sklowdovska-Curie European ITN, which requires active science communication and public outreach as part of the programme. I have worked as a clinical embryologist at the Cleveland Clinic prior to starting my PhD in 2020.
