Proposal to introduce a new research theme framework (March 2025)
In March 2025, we held a 3-month consultation of a proposal to introduce a new research theme framework, as a way of bringing together and organising our membership. The consultation ended at the beginning of June 2025. Details of the final framework can be found on our website. Consultation details
We have come up with a proposal for what this research theme framework might look like - but the most important thing is that it is useful for our members! We are inviting you to take part in a consultation over the next three months, helping to shape the research theme framework so it is as relevant and effective as possible.
Here's how you can get involved with the consultation:
1. Read the proposal
We have prepared a short outline of the proposed research theme framework, including how it fits in with other School and institutional themes, what our priority thematic areas and challenges are, and how members can get involved.

2. Share your feedback

If you have ideas for how to develop our research theme framework further, then we’d like to hear them! We’re particularly interested in hearing from people who are interested in joining a theme steering committee, or who have ideas for events or activities within a particular theme.
