The Conceptions Fund provides a unique opportunity for early career researchers (ECRs) at the University of Cambridge to run their own creative interdisciplinary project around the theme of reproduction.
This scheme is currently open for applications and the next deadline is 31 January 2023.
The project may involve a programme of invited speakers, a novel research proposal, the production of a short film or outreach material, or other creative activity, and must be:
- interdisciplinary and involve at least 2 members from different departments (preferably from different Schools) within the University of Cambridge or its affiliated institutions (applications from external institutions are not eligible);
- fully costed, as funding will be capped;
- completed within 9 months of receipt of funding.
Applicants should be a current postgraduate student, research fellow, postdoctoral research associate or other junior member of staff at the University of Cambridge or its affiliated institutions (Babraham Institute, Wellcome Sanger Institute and CUH). Awards are up to £5,000 per project, but applications for smaller amounts are also welcomed.
