Cambridge Reproduction Development Fund

The Development Fund supports early career researchers (ECRs) in their professional development by providing small grants (up to £500) for training and other development activities.

Easter Term 2026 applications are now closed, applications are being accepted for Michaelmas Term until 20 November 2026. 

Application deadlines for 2026-27

There are three funding rounds each year (once per term). 

Michaelmas Term: 20 November 2026

Lent Term:  19 February 2027

Easter Term:  21 May 2027

Applicants will hear whether they have been successful within 3-4 weeks of their application. Submissions should be made at least 4 weeks before your proposed activity will take place.

Please make sure you are familiar with the Development Fund guidance (below) before you submit your application.

Applications can be made via the online form or by emailing the Word application form to Tamsin Smyth (admin@repro.cam.ac.uk). 

Please ensure that you include the following as your application will not be considered until all supporting documents have been received.

• 2-page CV
• Letter of support from your supervisor, line manager or Head of Department
• Development Fund guidance (2025-26)
• Development Fund application form (2025-26)
