I am interested in the many facets of epigenetic regulation within the trophoblast lineage. In the lab, I use trophoblast stem cells and mouse models to investigate the contribution of epigenetic mechanisms such as X Chromosome Inactivation, DNA methylation dynamics, and the action of long non-coding RNAs to the identity and developmental potential of the trophoblast stem cell compartment.
