I am interested in studying cultural conceptions of obstetrics and women’s health and how they map with the history of the field of OBGYN. I am working on research projects looking at representations of infertility and miscarriage in art, the experience of high-risk pregnancies, the history of childbirth induction in the UK in the 20th century, and social disparities in offering TOLAC to patients. I am currently doing my MPhil in Health, Medicine, and Society, and will return to finish my final year of medical school next year where I will apply to OBGYN residencies.
