Cambridge Reproduction

I am a PhD student in the Crossan lab within the Protein and Nucleic Acid Division at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology. My lab works on genome stability within the germline.

During my PhD, I am focusing on two key areas related to the stability of the paternal genome both pre-and post-fertilisation. Firstly, I am interested in how the unique genome architecture within the mature spermatozoan may confer genome stability in response to DNA damage. Secondly, I am interested in furthering understanding of the mechanisms that permit stability of the paternal pronucleus during the removal of epigenetic marks immediately post-fertilisation.
