As a physician-researcher, I am based at the pivotal intersection between patient care and scientific enquiry. My research focus is translational studies to better understand the common pathologies encountered in pregnancy in the hope of improving the medical practices targeting them. Currently, I am studying the mechanism by which a dysfunctional placenta alters epigenetic marks in maternal organs, using a novel mouse model of placental-specific ER stress and applying high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatic techniques.
