I am studying the dynamics of genomic imprinting during development. I aim to understand the mechanisms involved in this epigenetic regulation of parental gene expression and when and why it this is so important and paramount for development. I am dissecting the regulatory regions that regulate imprinting specifically at the Dlk1-Dio3 region, which is one of the most crucial imprinted domains in mammals.

I am interested in development, and genetic and epigenetic regulators of development. During my PhD I focused on discovering new genes involved in sexual development and reproduction and I would like to expand my knowledge of the epigenetic regulators in this process as well.
