My research concerns the cognitive mechanisms by which humans experience and learn about the world. More specifically, I am interested in how associative mechanisms of learning contribute to the experience of psychological distress. Currently, my research focuses on the cognitive mechanisms underpinning the experience of hallucinations and the possession of unusual beliefs.

I also have research interests in the associative mechanisms underpinning spatial navigation and have published academic papers on this topic previously.
