Cambridge Reproduction

My research involves investigating the effects of tryptophan metabolites on placenta energy metabolism and differentiation. The aim of this research is to provide fundamental mechanisms through which gut-derived microbial metabolites affect placental development and function in relation to pregnancy outcomes.

My interest within reproduction involves exploring gynaecological conditions affecting women such as fibroids affecting predominantly the black population and endometriosis. As such I have taken an initiative of organising an event alongside my department to raise awareness of fibroids.

Finally, my other interest involves promoting equality and campaigning for women reproductive rights.
