I am a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists and Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists. I undertook my PhD in the laboratory of Prof Christine Watson focussing on mammary gland involution in mice models. I currently combine diagnostic veterinary pathology service work with running my own lab studying mammary gland biology and pathology in non-traditional model species, especially ruminants and rabbits. My particular interest is the mammary immune microenvironment. I am passionate about comparative mammary gland biology and exploiting species differences and similarities to further our understanding of the mammary gland to improve animal and human health.
