I am an obstetrics and gynaecology registrar and a clinical academic, with expertise in medical statistics and epidemiology. My PhD was hosted within the founding phase of a large maternity quality improvement project in the UK. I have made extensive secondary use of electronic healthcare record data within the UK in my research to date. I have used this data to answer questions relating to individual and population risk and to evaluate healthcare organisations and systems. My interests cover the evaluation of maternity care and outcomes, health inequalities, health system performance, and the risk assessment and stratification of pregnant women during antenatal and intrapartum care. I aim to develop a clinical academic career in obstetrics, building on my experience in epidemiology and health services research and developing new skills in clinical studies.
