I am a PhD student in the Department of Geography, supervised by Alice Reid. My research focuses on the interactions between women’s labor force participation and decisions about marriage and fertility. I plan to use census linking methods and archival sources from nineteenth century Derbyshire to reconstruct women’s life courses, with particular interest in women working in textile manufacturing.
