I am interested in the impact pregnancy and lactation has on the mammary gland as well as the long-term maternal and infant health benefits that occur as a result of breastfeeding. Thus far, my research has leveraged the use of cells in human milk to provide insights into how the mammary gland changes during lactation and providing preliminary data to untangle the biosynthesis pathways that lead to milk production.
