Professor Amy Ahern

I am a behavioural scientist whose research focuses on translating understanding of the psychology of obesity, diabetes and weight management into interventions that improve the physical and mental health of people living with obesity or diabetes. In the area of reproduction, I am interested in applying this approach to supporting the health and wellbeing or women during pregnancy and the postpartum period, addressing inter-pregnancy/postpartum weight gain, and improving the long-term outcomes of women who have experienced gestational diabetes.
