Cross-disciplinary Projects Fund
The Cross-disciplinary Projects Fund provides funding to stimulate new collaborations and test bold ideas for cross-disciplinary projects relating to reproduction.
Easter Term 2026 applications are now closed, applications are being accepted for Michaelmas Term until 20 November 2026.
Application deadlines for 2026-27
There are three funding rounds each year (once per term).
Michaelmas Term: 20 November 2026
Lent Term: 19 February 2027
Easter Term: 21 May 2027
Applicants will hear whether they have been successful within 3-4 weeks of their application.
How to apply
Please make sure you are familiar with the Cross-disciplinary Projects Fund guidance (below) before you submit your application.
There are two pathways available:
- Small grants provide funding of up to £1,500 and may be applied for by an individual or by two or more people working in collaboration;
- Large grants provide funding of up to £5,000 and must involve at least two applicants from different departments (preferably from different Schools).
You will be asked to indicate which pathway you are applying for in the application form.
Please note that existing projects or collaborations are not eligible for funding, unless exceptional circumstances apply.
Applications can be made via the online form or by emailing the Word application form to Tamsin Smyth (admin@repro.cam.ac.uk).
Your application must include the following as it will not be considered until all supporting documents have been received.
- 2-page CV for each applicant
- letter of support from your supervisor, line manager or Head of Department
