In my PhD, I study primate early postimplantation embryo development. I use the marmoset as a model organism to study primate embryos following implantation until gastrulation and primitive streak formation stages, using immunofluorescence stainings and RNA-sequencing. My aim is to develop a spatial molecular blueprint of primate early postimplantation embryogenesis, which will improve our understanding of embryo development during this timeframe in our own species.
