Cambridge Reproduction

I am a Research Assistant at the Centre for Family Research, where I work across a number of projects that investigate the experiences of families who have used assisted reproductive technologies. I am currently carrying out research with same-sex female couples who have used intra-partner egg donation – an IVF process where one parent provides the egg and the other parent carries the pregnancy, with the use of donor sperm. Prior to my current post, I completed my undergraduate research dissertation at the Centre where I researched children’s experiences of parental gender transition.

I also received the ‘Conceptions’ grant from Cambridge Reproduction SRI to complete a collaborative project with Dr Naomi Moris from the Department of Genetics. We will be creating a short film to expose the variety of perspectives that exist in our different fields regarding the roles and significance of genes, gametes, gestation and the environment in the developmental time course.
