My work takes a transnational approach to analyzing the cultural, visual, and affective dimensions of abortion rights struggles, beginning in Latin America and expanding to transregional and global comparative analysis. Through this research, I seek to create hybrid spaces of collaboration between feminist scholarship, activism, and artistic practices.

I am the author of Las pasiones alegres del feminismo [The Joyful Passions of Feminism], published by Siglo Veintiuno in 2025. I have also co-edited Abortion and Democracy (with Barbara Sutton, Routledge, 2021) and Affect, Gender and Sexuality in Latin America (with Cecilia Macoón and Mariela Solana, Palgrave Macmillan, 2021), and I am currently co-preparing with Barbara Sutton the De Gruyter Handbook of Abortion Politics in Global Perspective (2026).
