I am an engineer and a physicist by training. I did my PhD in Biomedical Engineering where I investigated the underlying mechanisms of self-organized differentiation of human pluripotent stem cell colonies. I’m interested in employing in vitro models of embryogenesis using pluripotent cells and of homeostasis using multipotent cells to understand the rules that stem cells follow to make decisions and how they collectively give rise to complex tissues and organs.
