I am interested in the study of the molecular processes that drive phenotypic variation during development and disease. I have a particular interest in the oocyte, as such molecular processes have the potential to programme transcriptional states in the embryo and predispose to disease. I use computational epigenomics, coupled to cutting-edge single-cell techniques, as a tool to interrogate how epigenetic patterns are established in the oocyte and how these might be affected by environmental changes, such as, ageing or diet.
