My research is focused on determine how environmental factors impact pregnancy outcomes. I have been working with guinea pig, mouse, sheep and human models, exploring the effects of hypoxia, high-fat high-sugar diet and exercise in maternal, placental and foetal health. Adding to my laboratory experience, I have been involved in community interventions and qualitative studies looking for alternatives to translate the basic knowledge to real life settings.
