My interest center on birthing experiences in low resourced settings. Specifically I consider how colonial, gendered, structural and other forms of violence shape the birthing experience of Black and Brown women today. I am also interesting in how humanized birthing can be used to rethink and improve birthing in the Caribbean and Latin America.
