About
For the last 11 years I have been a full time NHS benign gynecology consultant at CUH in the Reproductive Medicine team. My clinical practice encompasses all aspects of reproductive and post- reproductive health, including menstrual dysfunction and recurrent pregnancy loss consultations.
I was a principal Investigator for the completed National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) portfolio studies: GEM3 (completed), ALIFE2 (completed), PRISM (completed), LoCi (completed), CERM (completed). I am serving as the Local Principal Investigator for commercial studies: SAGE (completed) and EMERALD, which is actively open and the first Phase 2 trial involving pregnant participants at our hospital. In my role as a Principal Investigator. I have also accommodated associate PI schemes.
Additionally, I am an Investigator in various portfolio studies including VESPA (completed), GHIP (completed), HYPATIA and POISE, which remain open. I have been engaged in peer reviews of numerous articles and have served as an external reviewer of PhD student. I have actively been identifying patients for biobank donations to facilitate research into hyperemesis gravidarum.
Currently I am collaborating with the Sanger Welcome Institute to investigate the science behind embryo implantation. I am the co-PI on BLEEDS (Biomarker and molecular Landscape Exploration in Excessive and Dysfunctional Shedding) which is part of the Missing Vital Sign program funded by Welcome Leap.
I am a strong advocate of translational research, and my strength lies in making research accessible and comprehensible for patients.
