About
My research focuses on reproductive biology and developmental toxicology, particularly how early-life exposures affect gonadal development and function. Under the supervision of Dr. Agnes Stefansdottir, Dr. Kathleen Duffin, and Prof. Rod Mitchell, I investigated the effects of sodium valproate on prepubertal mouse gonads in vivo. This work examined morphological and molecular changes in ovaries and testes, targeting key cell types and steroidogenic pathways through histology, immunofluorescence, and qPCR.
I am particularly interested in how pharmacological and environmental factors disrupt reproductive development, and in elucidating the molecular mechanisms that link early exposures to later reproductive outcomes.
